FRIZ Biochem Gesellschaft für Bioanalytik mbh, Munich, is a privately held biotech company focused on the development and production of advanced electronic biochips. We develop and manufacture assays for the parallel detection of nucleic acid or protein biomarkers in the fields of detection of pathogens in food, diagnostics of infectious diseases and gene expression profiling.

 

Management (CEO)

Dr. Gerhard Hartwich

CEO of the company, has 13 years of R&D experience. As trained chemist, he received his Ph.D. from the Technical University in Munich. As a postdoctoral student at the University of Texas (Austin), he conducted electrochemical research on the subject of charge transfer along DNA, which formed the launching pad for the development of FRIZ Biochem's technology.
